About Lienholder Lane
Lienholder Lane is a small, independent editorial site that publishes plain-language education about auto insurance for financed and leased vehicles. Our readers are first-time car buyers, returning lessees, co-signers, and family members helping someone else read a lender letter.
We are based in Sheridan, WY, and we publish for an audience across the United States. We are not an insurance company, agent, broker, marketplace, or lead generator, and we never share reader information with insurance carriers.
Our story
2022
A friend forwarded a five-page insurance verification request from a credit union. None of it was hostile, but none of it was readable. The first draft of what became Lienholder Lane was the reply.
2023
The reply turned into a series of short explainers shared with anyone who asked. Loss payee, additional insured, payoff balance, ACV: each one a question a real borrower had asked.
Today
Lienholder Lane is now a small, regularly updated library of educational articles, with optional SMS reminders for readers who want them.
